As a second career designer, the business of design was something I struggled with. While I learned so much about the act of design when I went back to school, running a business was not something I learned there. It was actually my former career in the corporate world that I learned about business and applied that to running my company. However, nothing could prepare me for everything running a design business entails outside of the actual act of designing. For me, it was a lonely road to navigate because many designers didn’t want to share their resources.

Fast forward to today and many trial and errors later we have a strong and tested set of processes, purchasing and strategies we use to navigate the same road but now with colleagues turned friends along for the journey.

2018 was our inaugural meeting and did we have a time! Gathering at the design center with colleagues that traveled from Atlanta, we all learned so much in one day. The group grew as the gatherings continues but then halted in February 2020 when the pandemic hit. After speaking with several designers that were struggling with certain aspects of their business through this incredible growth our industry had during the pandemic I knew it was time to bring us all back together.

We are excited to expand our knowledge with all of you. Whether seasoned or new to the field, the knowledge you’ll gain as well as offer will be immeasurable.

We are also introducing our new MASTERCLASS and will be announcing what this is during our first gathering this winter.

We look forward to having you join us, learning about you and your business.
